In 2014, 7th grade students engaged in a year-long relationship with the Buffalo River. We immersed ourselves in the history of Buffalo through the lens of the river and the quality of its water. In the fall, students created mixed media compositions focused on the Buffalo River and making a commentary on its past, present, and future. The resulting artwork was featured in an installation at a local gallery.
